A very unusual and luxurious sofa in a style used in the 1830s - early Victorian/Empire period in Denmark. Believed to be made from Cuban Mahogany and, originally, made for a ship.
Bird detail to arms (could be a Liver bird which would fit with the ship building) and clawed feet this lovely piece of furniture is elegant yet substantial enough for family life. Measures 2240cm long, 67cm deep and 97 cm floor to top of back rest.
